Help with choosing Apex trigger parts.

The apex fss kit. Next to no take-up or over travel. Closest to a 1911 like trigger I have come across in a striker fired gun. That said I only put the aluminum trigger in mine. Result was a glock like performance (a very good glock trigger mind you). The aluminium trigger has a flat surface...

    S&W M&P 9mm trigger

I recently bought a 45c. It had in my opinion a terrible trigger. It had very long take up, was gritty, and at least 8 lbs of pull. That said I really liked the gun overall and I knew there was an aftermarket solution. The glock 30s was about 100 bucks more and the sights another 100 bucks. In...

Glock vs. M&P-yup. I'm askin' it.

I am I long time glock guy. I own and have owned several in 9mm, .40, and .45 caliber. I was issued a G17 and G19 when I worked for my uncle out of the country. Of all the weapons I have handeled over the years a glock is the most reliable I have used. that said I have recently picked up a .45c...

    First range visir With.45c

I ordered just the aluminum trigger. I did a bit of polishing with some metal polish and a rag on the trigger bar. It is still a bit gritty but the pull is less spongy and take up much shorter. Not sure if I feel the need to replace or polish the striker block or not. Might just see if it...

    First range visir With.45c

I put about 100 - 150 through it, pretty much emptied the rounds I had in my range bucket. I have since put the apex trigger in it. I like it much better. I need to get it to the range to see how much.

Well I am giving up on this Apex Aluminum trigger kit.

I got my aluminum trigger put in last evening. Fortunately for me the lgs I bought my 45c from and the apex trigger volunteered to pop it in for me. I had read this posting prior so I was happy to take him up on his offer. It took half an 30 or 45 minutes and two of them but I love the results...

    ok...DONT SHOOT!

Can't go wrong with a G19. Very reliable, durable, and accurate. If thats what she is leaning toward I can't think of any reason to chage her mind.

    First range visir With.45c

So took my new .45c too the range. I love the feel of the gun its accurate and had no failures. The gun is currently stock, but I have a apex trigger ordered. I knew I didn't like the trigger but it was worse than I expected based on dry firing. I get the long pull and heavy break. I am sure...

    New from TN

Thanks for the tips and the welcome. I prowled the site after my first groping of the .45c. It seems the apex parts are very popular. I was able to get a pretty good idea of what to expect from handeling the fss kit and what I have read here. I am lucky to have local smith I am friendly with...

I am a long time glock and 1911 guy that just discovered M&P. I have been looking for a good carry .45 (g30sf and 1911cmdr been there done that). Laid my dirty little hands on the .45c and loved it, dry fired it and put it back... But... was turned on to the apex trigger parts and picked it back...
