New to AR, Help with Handguard replacement?

Thanks for the heads up, you're right, I forgot about the weight issue, I added a Midway Quad to my SAMR7 Arsenal Milled AK with accessories and now it almost needs to be MG mounted to the Jeep it's so heavy...lol I'll check those out today and see where it leads.

New to AR, Help with Handguard replacement?

I have to admit, I'm a bit a newb when it come to replacing the handguard with a quad rail because of the gas tube block placement. My new Model M&P10 Compliant SKU#811310 has the original plastic handguard and I want to replace it with a rail w/ a 45 degree angle I've measured the original one...

A thread adapter? I know this will sound newbie and all, but what is a thread adapter and how does it attach to the smooth outside of the barrel?

    Bipod type for original grip?

Being that I am a bit un-knowledgeable on bipod mounts but as I haven't found exactly the forward grip/rail I want for my new S&W M&P 10 .308 as of yet, I acknowledge that a bipod is necessary until I do. I would want to find one that could be used now on the original out of the box and later on...

HELP New M&P 10 Safety won't move HELP

New to M&P AR 10 I'm new to this newly aquire system, but I to have noticed that a hammer down doesn't allow a safe setting until a re- engagement of the mechanism. But that inability to lock back with an empty mag was it something I have noticed yet. Have you performed any dry fire to see if...

Anyone seen Breech face wear on their M&P 10?

Very Impressive... Whoa, That's a very nice build, time and money were only part of the build itself I bet. If you're anything like me, research can take a large portion of the build time. I went all out on a SAM7R from Arsenal but nothing close to what you have constructed. Looks as if you...

Anyone seen Breech face wear on their M&P 10?

Yours has precise lines I did some more cleaning once I got the bolt out and see it looks better than I thought, but I have to say, your s looks crisp and precise, where as if mine wasn't made as well. How much better does your custom built .308LR feel compared to the stock model config.? Have...

Anyone seen Breech face wear on their M&P 10?

Here's a better picture... I'm hoping it was the picture that made it look that way, when I saw your post last night, I removed the bolt and cleaned it up better, do you still see what you were mentioning about the plating wear on the ejector? Thanks for taking time to help.

Anyone seen Breech face wear on their M&P 10?

Here's a pic... I thought I had attached to one earlier, thanks for taking time to help me remedy that. Have you seen this in a AR 10 before?

Anyone seen Breech face wear on their M&P 10?

I recently purchased M&P 10 online that had supposedly never had been fired, but upon reciept of my "newish" rifle, I found it to be filthy inside.( of course the dealer I purchased it from said guy that he bought from bought it new and never fired it , FOS) After a lot of gunk removal, I found...

    Flash Hiding a Non-Threaded Barrel?

I could be wrong, but S&W doesn't sell em I kind of suspected this going in, as part research into the acquisition process , wish I'd been as diligent on the purchase as well (one with a flash hider vs not) I don't even see parts being available and have seen others have problems trying to...

    Flash Hiding a Non-Threaded Barrel?

Turned out well... Looks good, how does it perform? I agree, I'll leave it to someone who has the proper tools and qualifications for sure. Did they include tear down and re-assembling, or did you just bring the upper in?
