Never owned a scandium gun of theirs, but mine have never had any blemishes are junk on it whether from the Performance Center or standard guns. If it wipes off, I wouldn't worry about it. If it doesn't, I'd consider calling S&W (perhaps send them the pictures) and see what they think of it...
