    Cowboy loads

I load my .44 Rem Mag "Cowboy" 200 grain RNFP to 950-1,000fps. I would not feel undergunned with it in a SD situation. I carry that load around my farm in the 329PD.

help with 500 revolver reloading questions

I've been using TiteGroup for years without a problem. Been hand loading for around forty years. For the beginner it might not be the best choice.

    329 PD

I have had mine since shortly after they were released for sale. I generally shoot hardcast 200 grain RNFP cowboy loads between 950-1,000fps. It gets carried often here on my property. Very steep hillsides and bluffs. So, the 329PD and 357PD fit the need perfectly. I like them both. For heavy...

What has happened to Smith And Wesson?

So far I have been fortunate dealing with S&W. They have been quick to send return shipping labels. I had to send a 351PD back twice before they got it right. I've used their gun smithing services several times with good results. Hopefully they will improve their QC.

Looking for feedback on S&W PC Gunsmith Services

I just had a 657 and 629 done. I am extremely happy with the work and speed of service. Also had some warranty work on a 329PD. Eight day turnaround service. I have two 629s there for the action work in addition to other services. S&W has always treated me right. It is hard to find good...

    The amazing 500 magnum.

Congrats on your new 500. I have had my 8 3/8" 500 for 8 years now. Liked it so much I purchased the big Performance Center Hunter. Plus, waiting patiently for delivery of the new Big Horn Armory Model 89 carbine lever action.

Governor "Rodney Dangerfield". Owners speak up.

I have the Taurus Judge. It's ugly, but serves the purpose I bought it for. It was a real pain to carry a long gun on my tractor, but The Judge fits nicely in a bandolier. I have 1.5 miles of bluff line on my property and have lots of timber rattlers and copperheads to deal with. It also spends...

Why do so many people look askance at a +$500 22LR revolver?

I have a small fortune invested in 22s and ammo for them. I love'm all. Model 617s, Model 41, Buckmarks, Super Single Sixes, MKII Comp Target. Plus, wide range of rifles from Cooper, Volquartsen, Kimber, Rugers, Remington, Marlin, Winchester. Have built a number of 10/22s and the sky is the...

    Multiple identical guns question

Can't help myself. Three Model 629-5s. One 329PD. Same with Ruger Super Blackhawks. Actually, I have a much bigger selection of them in the safe. It becomes addictive. When it comes to gun diseases I am a rimfireaholic with severe OCD to find more.

    Custom 16-4 * now w/ pics

I have a very nice 4" 16-4. Would love to have a 327 cylinder fitted to it rather than ream the original cylinder.

Getting the big 500 in 8 3/8'' tomorrow!

Congrats! I have the 8 3/8" standard and the Performance Center Hunter. Plus, hope to get the Big Horn Armory Model 89 Carbine at the end of the month. This is definitely a handloader's round. Regards, Rich

    How desirable is S&W 617-2

I have a 617 6" 10 shot. I sent it back to S&W to put target trigger, target hammer, sights and an action job. Having been done by S&W with documentation cannot hurt IMNSHO. Mine will not be sold in my lifetime, period. I also have a six shot version. I really want a 4" 10 shot some day.

Is this crazy talk? Thinking of selling 2 for 1

A couple of years ago I sold a pristine Remington 541-T and Remington 504 to fund a Cooper 22. Had wanted a nice Cooper for years and hadn't shot the other two in ages. No regrets. I would love to have a Colt Anaconda, but wouldn't give up any of my 629s or any of my S&Ws to get one. I'm in the...
