    The old progressive dilema

I have loaded on a square deal before and didn't like it. I have loaded 10s of thousands of rounds on a RL550 (4 of them actually) and feel these are the best value out there. I have used most progressives made and would choose something from Dillon over anything else, either a 550, 650, or 1050.

44 Mag what powder do you use?

My best Metallic Silhouette load was 18 grains of H4227 with a 300gr. XTP bullet and a CCI Large Pistol Mag. primer. I was getting 6" groups at 200 meters out of an 8-3/8 629. This was with a Leupold 2-7 power pistol scope. This load was 1050 FPS at the muzzle and the ballistic chart said it was...

    686+ disappointment

Really? Come on you guys... an 8 lb. DA trigger will set off any primer out there if everything else is mechanically as it should be. All my S&W revos (more than 2 dozen) are totally reliable at 6 - 6.5 lb. with Federal primers. This does not count the rimfires, they require a heavier hammer...
