I think my 442 might be bad. I can shoot it with a laser or have other people try it and it is not accurate no matter what. It is all over the place. The Lcr I tried I could make a tight group at 10 yards without much effort. I wonder if the barrel on the 442 is messed up.
it is a gun part just like any other, A gun is a tool and you should be able to buy any part for your gun and shouldn't have to send it back to them and pay a fortune to get a $4 part. Smith and Wesson is the idiots for putting the dumb lock there in the first place. It looks stupid. Ruger took...
The Entire Smith and Wesson is just bad now I hate to say. Quality control issues, Customer Service is horrible. I have several guns but if I make another revolver purchase I am going Ruger for sure. I am now starting to question if I will sell of my Smith's also
Because grounding the nub off allows you to fill the second little hole on the outside also and leave all the parts in. That they won't sell you this part from Smith and Wesson unless you send it in and charge you over 100 bucks is ridiculous and further supports my plan to buy ruger in the...
Ruger is better. I will not be buying any more Smith and Wessons. The Customer Service is not very friendly or helpful. The quality is not what I would expect for the price.
I have a 442, does anyone have the internal lock Flag and spring they can sell me. I ground the nub off mine and want one in case I need to replace it. I called smith and they said they want over 100 bucks for me to send it in and replace and they won't send me the part. I tried all the other...
what is the best way to grind off that nub? A dremel rotary tool? I would imagine you need to make it flat and smooth with the surface so It won't engage?
I attached a link picture of the Lock Flag. My question. is the nub you would grind off to make the flag not usable the one on the front surface right above the pick in the picture? I am thinking of grinding it and putting the flag back in. For people that have done this where can you get a...
I get your point just take the lock out and don't sell it but somehow it just makes me feel like I don't have a complete gun or I am not getting what I paid for type thing. I just don't want to feel slightly angry every time I shoot it. I feel like I want one without the lock and just try to...
I saw that little spring because the video makes a point of it and I made sure it was under the frame. the lock worked fine with the key and while dry firing. What really makes me more upset than my gun doing this is that Smith won't admit it being a problem. The gun range guys that say they see...
I hear you this whole lock thing is so stupid and the Customer Service people are rude from what I have experienced. Honestly when I called today they shouldn't have lied about the lock issue saying I am the only person on the planet that had one fail. I am sure this is what they are told to say...
So I thought I would call Smith and Wesson today. He sent me a return label. The funny part is the guy on the phone sad this has never happened to anyone else he knows of. I said really I am the only one out of all the people out there. What a JOKE and a LIE. I have decided I am going to get a...
