Guys you are correct. I replaced the slide stop and that didn't fix it, but at least now I have the right one, I straightened the legs on the side plate and that fixed it for now. Is that side plate that much cheaper than the old style plug in the frame??

easier said than done. 1006 parts? Interesting .. tonight I shot 8 mags worth of ammo, the slide stop worked every time. Just doesn't work by hand.

Guys I just picked up a used 1006. Having a problem with the slide stop. I went I close the slide and the spring pin in the end of the slide stop is going below the angle plate and getting stuck. I have to press the pin in to clear the bottom of the plate. It's also not moving up to hold the...
