Share some CCW advice with an old-fashioned guy

If you like the M&P then buy one. If you'd rather have all metal, then look at a 1911 or the all metal S&W lineup. You can get a really nice STI for about the price of a (ugghly) Glock or the M&P.

    Holster for 3913

Funny, I got mine in just under 5 weeks, IIRC.

Arkansas CCW list published in Ark Times

Hey, I've always heard that Moose spaghetti was really good stuff. Never had it, but that's what I've heard from several sources not related to either myself or each other (or in one case probably closer to Bigfoot than human). Of course Sip is in Hollywierd now so he probably thinks that...

Safety manipulation on 3rd Gen Semiautos

I keep my dingus in safe mode at all times unless I'm using it. As for using it, when I draw I use the following proceedure: Grip the weapon Draw to low ready "click position" "Click" (just push the lever up with my weak hand thumb) Present & acquire Fire I've yet to see anyone get...

Sooo, things have changed and I need an opinion

I should have mentioned that the revolver won't be primarily carried by myself. SWMBO needs a small concealable revolver to augment/replace her 3913 for a few months on a periodic basis. Thus, it must be small enough for a woman to easily conceal and light enough for her to want to carry it...

Sooo, things have changed and I need an opinion

My next purchase was "going to be" a 1911. Now, due to circumstances, it's not going to be a semi-auto but a revolver instead. I've been looking at a 3" Ruger SP101 in .357. Nice looking, strong frame, good reputation, reliable, etc. But, (there's always a "but" in there somewhere...) it's...

Hundreds of holster questions..Here is another.

Rule #1, you dress around the gun. If this requires that you modify your clothing style, then guess what, you go buy new clothes to wear even if they don't fit your personal image of yourself. Days off for me = polo shirts & jeans. Brigade Gun Leather IWB if I'm going out. Bianchi OWB if I'm...

    Cover garments for OWB

Try Lands End for men's shirts in tall sizes. They also have very nice blazers too that don't look like the typical run-of-the-mill junk you get at Penny's. If I'm carrying OWB and I don't want to wear a jacket, I'll wear a Lands End polo shirt with the tails out.

    Spring/summer carry

I have no problems carrying my 6906 IWB in the summer under a tucked polo/golf shirt. Even when it's 100 degrees outside. For awhile I did have some "hickie" problems from sweating under the holster but I adjusted and adapted. I still hate the feeling of sticky gun leather but I live with it...

    Holster for 3913

http://www.brigadegunleather.com/m-11.html I have one of these for my 6906. It's a quality product without the backlog that Milt Sparks has for the VMII. Note: This holster is NOT tuckable in std trim. You can "make" it tuckable by using kydex J-clips and moving the mounting T-nuts to the...

    Used 6906??

I, like the OP apparently, would never disclose the location of a pirate treasure. At least, not before I looted the place. $350 for a used 6906 is a decent deal IF the weapon hasn't been abused. Check the frame rails for galling which is a sign that it was run while dry or extremely dirty.

    4006 magazine for California

OMG, I HOPE you were just trying to be silly. Otherwise you just advocated that the OP commit a felony. You CANNOT "import, manufacture, etc etc etc" ANY magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds. That means you can't go to Arizona buy a magazine and then bring it back into California...

    3913 Barrel Scratches?

From your post I would say that you seem to be unfamiliar with firearms. To me that would indicate that you should take the weapon to a gunsmith and have him take a look at it. The cost would be minimal but the peace of mind invaluable.
