    Picked up another Sigma

Glad I went for the extra mags option when I got my SW9VE - have a total of 4, two of them are unused. Finally got my Apex spring kit yesterday. Straightforward install, except for the trigger pin, but no worse than any other. Nice touch by Apex by including a slave pin in the kit. If I...

What works best for you, Isosceles or Weaver?

I eventually settled into the modified Weaver (Chapman), as it helps correct my cross-dominance naturally. Though recently, for shiggles, I'll run a couple of mags worth with a center axis relock. I'm in the woods with no one to see and point or get kicked out or the range. (btw: this is...

    New range toy

It's printed on conversion slide that it fits .22, .38SA, .45ACP, 10MM, and can be used on the Witness Poly frame. I've only been shooting a Sigma for the past 2 years (my first pistol) and really felt that I've gone as far as I can go with it (>5,000 rounds), and wanted to get a longer barrel...

    New range toy

EAA Witness Steel - 9mm/.22 conversion Just picked this up from the FFL. $408 from gunbroker for everything. Haven't had time to do anything but inspect it and take pictures. Going to try to hit the range this afternoon. Lost my slideglide, so I'll chance it with Hoppes oil once I clean...

Ugh spring is here and so are the ticks

I've had good success with Frontline for my 5 dogs. You will get the occasional tick, but nothing major. Plus it definitely prevents fleas. I'm in rural Virginia at the moment, but am moving back up to Connecticut later this year where tick prevention is critical due to lyme disease.

What would you do, trip to the range

Enjoy lunch with your wife. If you blew her off, you'd be thinking about that maybe you shouldn't have all the time at the range. Plus, you can casually mention that you turned around just for her - you will definitely earn points for good behavior.

    Here's my sign.....STUPID!

I had to get a broken ejector replaced, and from initial call to S&W to get a shipping label to having it back in my hands took a total of 9 days. Guess it depends on how much is in the pipeline.

    EAA Witness Pro Comp (.45ACP)?

thank you all for your time replying I just got back from the local and went to 3rd base with it. The original owner is going to get back to me this weekend and give me the specs on the mods he made. Like I mentioned, a 5.25 competition ported barrel, and trigger work. There's some external...

    EAA Witness Pro Comp (.45ACP)?

I'm new to guns in general, so I never even heard of EAA until I saw this one for sale. Are they even marketing to the US customer? Been doing some quick research on them in general as I'm still not exactly sure of what I saw in the shop, and I've seen some pretty positive feedback for their...

Sick of the "elite" bad mouthing the Sigma

the 9VE was the first handgun I've shot more than 3 rounds out of, and the first "real" gun I've ever owned. I've shot well over 5,000 rounds through it, it does exactly what I expect it to do - every single time. It even performed perfectly when I tried out the center axis relock. I don't...

    EAA Witness Pro Comp (.45ACP)?

Good, bad, indifferent? My local has a used one on consignment that had been used for IDPA competition. It's had some custom trigger work, and what I think is a 5.25" ported barrel that extends a little bit beyond the slide. I can't seem to find a picture of a comparable example anywhere, and...

Anybody go out shooting in the blizzard

62 and breezy yesterday southside VA. Go figure. Was cleaning out/reorganizing range bag and discovered 2 extra boxes of WWB, so what the hey, excuse found. Worked on weak side slow fire exercise, but I just couldn't seem to get my #$% together.

    Best Sigma holster ever!!!

I have an Uncle Mikes with a similar set up. I popped a couple of stitches on the bottom to fit the 911 laser. Bulky, but I don't CCW. Just kicking around rural Virginia woods.

    I "fondled" a Sigma today

not having handled many other pistols, the grip on the Sigma just seemed the most naturally handling of any I've ever held. All things being equal I would have gone for a Glock, but within 30 seconds, the Sigma just felt so perfect, I could not ignore it.
