Situation:
You have only been to the range one time this year and are itching to get in an hour or so at the range.
You had a late breakfast and are not hungry.
You leave for the range at about 11:40am.
As you are pulling into the range parking lot at approximately 12 noon you receive a text message from your wife who is at work. She is wanting to know if you would like to go out for lunch.
You had dropped your wife off at work that morning, she has no car available at work that day. There is a tiny, two table, very limited selection 'deli' on premises that she uses on occasion. And of course the vending machines in the lobby.
There was no pre-arrangement to meet for lunch.
There is time if you were to turn around and head to your wife's work location (20 minutes) that you two could do lunch within her available time for lunch. If you choose this option you will not be able to get back to the range later that day.
You have done the lunch thing with your wife two times in each of the last three months.
You are not hungry.
12:05pm you are sitting in your car in the range parking lot. Your fully packed range bag is sitting on the passenger seat with three revolvers and one semi calling your name. You are staring at your phone with your wife's text message on it wondering what to do...
Do you:
a) text her and tell you are at the range and can't make lunch.
b) turn around and meet her for lunch.
c) reply to the message after your range session at approx. 1:30pm
d) call her and explain the situation hoping you will hear the magical, 'oh it's ok, don't worry about it'.
