Would a revolver of this vintage be rated for +P? I never noticed how much barrels can be different until I compared the very thick barrel of my 10-8 to the comparatively thin barrel of the 36.
I acquired a 36 square butt not too long ago (thanks for the info already provided) sans grips. I got a set of pachmayr's, but they're huge (certainly bigger than they looked). What's the smallest, lowest profile set available for this gun? Thanks in advance.
I have a retired NYPD 10-8, 4 inch. Blued. Significant wear to bluing, even more wear to original wood grips. Mechanically good, but this one has seen a lot of carry in service. Interested in value
We got the hard sell. T&E'd them and experienced an exponentially higher rate of malf and part breakage. It wasn't that bad, but compared to what we normally issue, a big step down. I wish they would issue us S&W revolvers as backup though.
