How many M&P 15-22s has S&W made to date?

They don't publish production numbers and the triple-alpha serial numbers makes them impossible to track. They have been making them since 2009. My local Field & Stream had a grand opening special for $249.99, so I had to buy one. That store sold 1000 in the first day or two. I also have a...

I Wish I Knew More About Old S&Ws

So does everyone here, including our resident experts. I'm sure Roy Jinks wishes he knew more...

    Napoleon gas grill

The spec's are impressive. I hope it holds up well for you. I've been using a TEC infrared grill for decades and have no complaints (except the current cost).

5 shot micro (smaller than J) .327 Mag?

I'm moving this to Smith & Wesson - The Wish List. Note the subtitle: Linsey's brought the 432UC chambered in .32 H&R Mag back to life, but they've had a lot of problems. That's in a J frame with 75 year of holsters, grips and accessories that are readily available. As much as I enjoy...

Scored these grips at a yard sale

They are factory J frame square butt target stocks. They will work on a square or round butt grip frame, because of the enclosed backstrap near the bottom. ... and yes, you did well!

What the difference in strength between different K-frames?

I know I read about the frame differences, so I looked it up in the SCSW. This is in their description of the Model 19: Notice how the thick area where the barrel threads in extends down to the bottom of the shroud. The thick area on a standard K frame angles back just below the ejector rod...

Okay, I'm stumped; what was this thing?

It was obviously a UFO (unidentified falling object).

Looking for help w/ US Navy Victory revolver

I'd guess your gun shipped in early 1942. Others have more accurate info. I'll add that it appears to have been refinished at some point. $600 seems very optimistic... Here's a Victory model with the original grips. Note the finish and the sideplate fit.

    New Forum Feature (I think...)

I just noticed a "to the top" button that moves you to the top of the current page. If it's not new, I never noticed it before. If you're scrolling down and then start to scroll back up, the little arrow appears. Click it and you'll be taken to the top of the page. It's a handy...

What the difference in strength between different K-frames?

That may be true for CNC frames. You can see the difference in the '70's vintage guns I posted (10-5 and 19-3). The 10-8's still had this same frame.

What the difference in strength between different K-frames?

It may be a relatively safe conversion, but they're not the same. The front of the Combat Magnum frame was made slightly larger compared to a regular K frame. I swiped a couple photos off the internet that illustrates the difference.

    Temptation

That was a popular gun here in Michigan. I've got a few '06 mags for the 742 that I picked up used and sold one at the last MAAC show.

    Temptation

I understand the benefits of a "general purpose big game rifle", but variety is the spice of life! If you have the discretionary funds and the price is right, go for it. You obviously like the gun and you only live once! I've killed a lot of whitetail and antelope with a .270 Win. It's also...
