Currently my carry ammo is Winchester Ranger 115 gr JHP +P+. Though I mainly shoot my reloads(Lyman 356402 which weighs 132 gr), for 124 gr FMJ.

How does one measure the sight height on a 3913(serial TZT1XXX)? From the top of the sight to the top of the slide, or from the top of the sight to the bottom of the dovetail? My EDC gun is a 3913 that I consistantly shoot low with. So, I think I need to change the front sight to a shorter...

Anybody know where I can find a barrel threading die for an N frame Smith and Wesson? Brownells has them on backorder, and they've been on backorder order for months.

Toolguy, you are correct. I am referring to the "forcing cone". My bad, I had a brain freeze when typing and couldn't think of the correct term. I just checked and the entire front driving band of a .452 SWC KT bullet will drop into the forcing cone. I didn't know if that was considered normal...

Does an oversized barrel throat cause accuracy problems? I have a 6" 629 that I have never been impressed with the accuracy of. Recently I discovered that while I've been sizing my cast bullets to .430, the cylinder throats measure .431/.432". I have been considering changing the barrel to a 4"...

I am considering replacing the barrel on one of my Revolvers. All my Revolvers have pinned barrels. So, approximately where should the barrel come to before I should expect to feel resistance? I.e. 11 o'clock, roughly 11:30, etc?

I decided to do some routine maintainance of a 629 I've had for several years. I get the sideplate off, and there's no hammer block. Nothing. With all the Smiths I've owned through the years, this is the first time I've even found one without a hammer block. Since I bought this thing 2nd hand...

Actually, my Winchester reloading guide says one should not reduce 296 loads from the listed loads, not the minimum.

Just to compare things, I took one of my cast bullets for my .357s that I size to .358 and tried them in both of my Smiths. I have a 28-2 and a 19-5. Neither one will let the bullet(Lyman 358477) drop through the cylinder forcing cone, and both will let the bullet drop into the barrel forcing...

These are drop through with virtually no resistance.
