Check out this site for ammo. Been buying from them for years.

Well, at 30 to 32 cents a round for 9mm remanufactured ammo, it isn’t much of a deal.

    SD9VE Modifications

Definitely a decent belt. I have both Bigfoot belts and good stiff leather. And I don’t use a holster that isn’t specifically for that firearm. Better retention and support.

Bullet stuck in barrel, failure to battery. Help

Glad you sent it back for evaluation. And on another note, it’s a slide lock not a slide release. Slingshot the slide to chamber a round.

    Which one would you choose?

Well, I can’t compare the two you listed. But I can compare the S&W SD9VE and the Ruger SR9C. I have both, the Ruger wins hands down. Much better trigger, ergonomics are slightly better and felt recoil is less. Everyone has different opinions. These are just mine.

    trigger break in

My SD9VE started at 8.2 lbs. After about 500 rds, I have noticed the trigger is smoother and approximately 7.3 lbs. Seems to be holding there.

Anybody here use ProMag magazines for the SD series?

Sorry, never tried any ProMags with any handgun. And my SD9VE mags are 16 rds.

And load your new mags to capacity and let them sit 5-7 days. Never hurts.

No trust in a gun for CC

Any new firearm goes through a good cleaning, inspection, and lube before it hits the range. And factory grease is not your friend, especially in the striker channel. It’s there as a preservative not a lubricant. Then it gets a diet of 200-300 rds of decent brass cased fmj’s and a couple of...

Why do I see so many used SD9VEs for sale?

A few years back, the SD9VE was one of the better budget pistols. Heavy trigger but utterly reliable. Retailed about $269 but often on sale for $200. That’s when I got mine. Keeping it stock. No issues. Now there are many more options at close to the same price point. SD’s running $260’s on...

Added an SD40 to my toy box

Not discontinued, just a specific production for Academy, I believe.

    SD9 Survivor

Mine is not my EDC, but it could be. It was a nice price when purchased and I like the grip, it works. I have much better but I see no need to get rid of it.

    SD9VE or older SW9VE?

Nice price. Check it out, clean and replace any worn springs. And there is always Apex kits if you want it.

Best place to get APEX trigger/spring kit in Canada

Not sure about shipping costs to Canada but you can check with quite a few sources. ApexTactical, MidwayUSA, Brownells, even EBay. Merely go to there site and get their estimated shipping times and fee. Hopefully none would be outrageous.
