I found a S&W 22 short tip up No 1. its missing the extractor lug under the barrel. Is this something that is easy to find or is it a unicorn part? Thanks
Thanks. I was going to try to get the parts and rebuild it, but I did a search on Numrich and it seems like its going to be too expensive. I would have to try to find a gun with a broken frame. Maybe I will just sell it.
I ran across this at a flea market and for 5 bucks usd I knew the parts are worth more than that. I also picked up the 22lr octagon barrel, Not sure what that goes to but 22lr fits perfect. I even took a hammer and ran a couple rounds though it. Thoughts on these two items. Thanks
I put it up for sale on GB and no one bid on it at 475. I decided to make an offer to the lady I am helping sell them. I think I am going to make an offer for all the guns that did not sell on GB and keep most of them. Although I don't need a model 10 this gun is so nice for a 1969 in hand. I...
I bought some guns from a lady whose husband passed. Two are S&Ws. The Model 10-5 is in excellent condition. I don't think its been shot much at all. Not sure of the value. Its 38 special. Made in 1969. I put blueing at 95 percent. But would like to know your opinions.
I bought a bunch of guns from a lady who's husband died. In the bunch are two S&Ws. One is a 1924 M&P. Its in good condition with Nickel plate. The hammer and trigger are also nickel plated. I don't think they came from the factory with nickel plate on the trigger and or hammer. The grips are...
The photo are before I cleaned and oiled it. It looks better in hand than in the pictures. For some reason a camera will make the metal look like its all rusted but its not. No pitting or real damage. I don't want to change it at all.
I found this on the NRA site. Although the majority of S&W .38-200 revolvers were made under British contract and sent to Great Britain, some were also used by the U.S. military, chiefly for security purposes and for arming allies, such as resistance fighters. As discussed in Charles W...
I have the correct .38 S&W dies. I have about 50 or so brass cases. But I though another 100 or so would be nice. I will keep an eye on ebay and GB. They come up form time to time.
I got into collecting the old Iver Johnson and US revolvers that are chambered in 38 S&W. So I started to load for that round. I don't have a lot of brass but I have the dies and 500 bullets from Missouri bullet company for this round. I will keep an eye out for more brass. I just did a web...
