The problem I'm having is that I can't find a picture anywhere with that gun in that particular setup...id swear it was rebarreled but the serials all match. My great grandfathers M&P .38 Model 1905 3rd change built in late 1912 or early 1913 has the same back end and started its life out at 6...
The barrel is measured at 6.5 so I'm thinking its an early one. I'm pretty sure it said 38SPL on it. All stamping was on the top of the barrel. I'm planning to go back in to look at it again this week so I'll let you all know.
Sadly the lockup on the victory is pretty sloppy...it "looks" ok but i feel the action has been abused.
If anybody can tell me what they thing the long barrel is, that would be great... family member said they thought it was a model 10 but I cant find one that looks like that.
So I have an opportunity to buy one of the revolvers in the pix attached...specifically the "parkerized" 6.5 in 5 screw w/out grips. I thoroughly dumbfounded my LGS when i walked in and said "show me your old stuff in the back" while my younger peers around me in the store were all about the...
Lead bullets it is! Seeing this was a service piece that has god knows how many rounds through it I want to keep it as nice as possible. I'll keep my FMJ's for Home defense! I have been very happy with this little gun. It shoots quarter sized groups at 7-8 yds all day long! Not bad for a snub...
So I have a late 1912 S&W .38 that was handed down to me by my grandfather and I'm trying to extend the life of the gun as far as possible. It was a service piece for both my Great grandfather, my grandfather, and his brother. Its a solid shooter but as any service piece its got some wear...
I feel that the porting on the amazon brake does help keep muzzle flip down a bit, but maybe that's just my imagination. My brake had no issues with alignment and when i dropped a dowel down the muzzle it was perfectly aligned with the muzzle brake holes/exit. The brake was super easy to...

I have one of these and love it. It's not going to break the bank and if...
Yeah I'm confident based on the grouping's ive gotten with factory ammo this gun is capable of sub MOA with custom loads. I plan to make up some match grade ammo and see what she'll do.
Ooo i like that rail...Yeah i havent seen one with a solid stock yet, but i would think combine that with that awesome barrel/3 baffle brake I have and FF hg it would be a tack driver.
here is my MP15 in its current setup. The RIS rail is not FF on this currently.
Not an Mp15 but a cut down FSB none the less. I did it with a dremel cut off wheel to ge most of it off and then a file/bench grinder. Final finishing was done with a sanding wheel in the dremel. I think it looks pretty good.
So I got a crazy idea the other day to make my mp15 sport into a mini DMR rifle. It has the 5r barrel in it and is pretty accurate as is. I'm thinking I'm going to free float the HG/low pro gas block, and then put a solid rear stock on it. I already have a 3 baffle brake on it which makes follow...
