I've had the same red dot on mine for months and its holding up well.
I turned the mount around and mounted it on the receiver rail.
Looks a tad better IMO.
Thanks, it's OD green. :D It wasn't hard at all, I just set it up there and it stayed. I think the mag helped with that.
The light is a streamlight polytac in a gg&g offset mount.
It's a nice little led light for the money.
btw...If anyones is looking for a good red dot I'm luvin the walther...
I sent my 15-22 out due to feeding issues and got it back in exactly two weeks. I could not be more pleased with the results. After putting all of my gear back on the rifle I headed to my range. I ended up leaving my targets at home so I had to improvise.
The main thing I wanted to do was just...
It doesn't matter, it's just an end-cap. The barrel is free floated whether it's on there or not.
It's mainly there for looks and to keep crap out from underneath the HG.
I'm sure that all of the FTL problems have been mostly mag related as you point out.
But, the other problems such as oob's and FTE's are not mag related so that's the reason for the new springs and updated extractor.
Glad to hear s&w is replacing all your mags...that's good CS if you ask me.
Just talked with a guy on arf.com that purchased his 15-22
(A1 version) last week from his dealer. He said the dealer had just received it, and it had blue springs.
So I guess their getting them out with updated specs now.
Not sure if this everyone knows this already, it was news to me.
Well, chances are their replacing your original barrel.
If that's the case, I guess $96 is not a bad price.
It's up to you, you can get your original threaded for less, and I'm sure your barrel isn't damaged from a 22lr oob. :D
KNS pins work...there is enough hammer pin that sticks out either side to engage the connecting bar between the pins. You just have to fill the space inside the slot on the bar to keep the hammer pin in place. I used a brad nail cut to length.
I know I know flame away....it's my toy I can do...
