Thought it was my mind playing tricks on me or a twitch on an unfamiliar trigger.
DTUXXXX flash hider model - bone stock, no trigger or other modifications at all.
Will be obtaining a return label immediately.
send it back to the factory, say no more about it, here or elsewhere.
I can appreciate the protective sentiment here, but strongly disagree with people not posting about this condition.
The internet and specifically forums are a very valuable informational resource, and IMO it's important to voice up if a firearm has a defect which exhibits a significant and very dangerous condition.
This is especially important since this firearm is a 'trainer' type rifle and light enough that many young shooters will be introduced to it early on. Imagine a youngster in your family being maimed because nobody wanted to go on record as saying their rifle was defective.
If one wants a Class III weapon, he should do so legally, and more importantly built on a platform that is designed for that rate of fire.
