The OP stated, "Let's park those EDC revolvers and get serious"............ Well, that is the problem I had when reading his post. It is totally obvious that he could not be "serious" which the blatant flaws in his post. If it was based on sound logic and reasoning, then maybe I would consider...

    Airweight Defense Rounds?

I carry any of these three loads in my airweight snubs. They may not have the best expansion, but they have good penetration. I really like the wadcutters for my primary load, and then use either the 125gr or 158 gr Hornady's in a speed strip or speed loader. (Wadcutters are difficult to reload...

    S&W 686 or Ruger GP100?

That was NOT a "whine" about trigger locks, I was stating a pertinent fact to the OP to consider if buying a new 686/686 Plus. I also stated that is why I purchased a GP100 last year, and then described it with mods in comparison to my 686 Plus. If we can't consider all of the features of a...

    S&W 686 or Ruger GP100?

I have shot both GP100s and 686/686Plus models a ton over the years. I also own both. I have to say that I truly love both models very much. But, I would add this observation: A 686 (or 686 Plus - 7 shot version) is probably going to have a better trigger from the factory over a factory GP100...
