I had a Coleman 5K with an 11 horse Tecumseh for many years. I tried many different methods to make it quieter with little success. As stated already most of it is engine noise. Where are you located?

3.1g of Clays in 38 spl with a 158g LRNFP gave me 780fps out of a 6" M66, accurate load and clean burning. I was using that load in SASS but have since went down to 2.9g for a little less recoil, still accurate and clean burning but I have not run them over the chrono.

Probably should have said this in my first post but a hollow point will most definately kill a deer but it is much less likely to exit and leave a blood trail so you can track it.

Hollow points are not the best option, as has been already mentioned a JSP or hard cast lead, whichever shoots the best in your gun
