    Windows 8

I am not a computer wizard, but I've had several since 1996. Everytime I got a new one I had no trouble getting it up and running. Last year I helped my 88 year old aunt set up a new machine she got as a gift. It took me about 10 hours and several trips home to search for answers on my machine...

    Dangerous Situation in the Atl

What I find sad is that these officials that did nothing will probably be reelected so they have a chance to screw up again. We never learn.

    Went to see a fight

I went to a lot of Philadelphia Flyers and the old Eastern league Jersey Devils in the early 70's. This kind of thing was a weekly event.

    Gods and Generals

I was in Gettysburg for a reenactment when Jeff Shaara was finishing G & G. He asked me and a friend if we could pose for him in our Cavalry uniforms. We did and had a nice visit with him and some people with his crew. Never did see the pictures.

    Andy Granatelli dies at 90

First race I ever saw in person was the 1968 Trenton 200. Art Pollard drove one of the turbine cars. It was the most amazing race car I've ever seen. Miss those days.

    Sig P227

Shot my friends new 227 last week, He got the one with night sights. Felt good and shot great. No problems at all. The trigger did take a while to get used to as we were also shooting two 1911's. He got it for about $850 OTD.

    Great Teachers

The only teacher I had that ever really had any effect on me was my high school English teacher, Mr. Mike DeNoia. To this day I'm still using his teachings. Last I heard he was suffering from a form of dementia. When they had our last class reunion he was the only teacher there.

150 years ago today - America's bloodiest battle

The Pennsylvania Cable Network has been showing non stop coverage of the 150'th. The highlight was today when thousands of people, reenactors and civilians, made the walk across the field to the wall and angle. I doubt that many people will ever gather at that spot at one time again. I think...

    1948 Tucker

There's a gentleman in Maryland who owns 3 Tuckers. He occasionally lends one out to the Antique Automobile Club Of America museum in Hershey, Pa. It's believed that when he passes all 3 cars will go to the museum.

    Car batteries, Walmart, and Me

I have a friend who is a landscaper and works from March to November. The truck sits outside the rest of the year without ever running. Every March the battery is dead. Takes it back where he bought it, Autozone, and they check it and tell him it has a dead cell. Becuase he bought one with a...

Who pays for the new boat?

If I owned it I'd ask for it back and send it to a Barrett-Jackson auction. I bet somebody would pay a million for it.

Shooting Padre, that's the picture I wanted to see. I love the way you set the right front camber on the model.

    My old stock car (almost)

This is a model of my 1966 GTO I drove at a couple of dirt tracks in New Jersey back in the '80s. Never won anything but had a lot of fun trying. I love that Dodge.
