Hey everyone. I just wanted to share something that was a project of mine for the last ten years. I just completed a 1/25 scale model of a 1965 Dodge Coronet that I raced back in the early 70s in the Twin Cities at Raceway Park. It took many years to find a model of this car to begin with. Then a couple of years of procrastinating, (called planning) to finally finish. It is extremely accurate, thanks to a person in New York who made custom decals from photos of the original car. Just thought I'd throw it in here for racing and model fans. Thanks for looking.

Nice Job!

My appreciation for stock car racing came late in life.
It turned out to be a fun time, and I was even a partial sponsor
for a couple cars. Friday, Saturday were great times. Been to a bunch
of tracks around here. Wish I'd seen you back in the days.

Nice!! I used to go to Huset's Speedway in Sioux Falls, SoDak. I miss stockers and also sprint cars to include the "outlaws". Never left a place so filthy in my life(from all the flying dirt off the tires) and loved every minute of it.

This is a model of my 1966 GTO I drove at a couple of dirt tracks in New Jersey back in the '80s. Never won anything but had a lot of fun trying. I love that Dodge.

Great GTO and great model. Yea, I found out that to make a small fortune in racing you had to start with a big one. Great job on the car, thanks for the look.

About the time you were racing stock cars, my brother and I were racing Formula Vees in the area: BIR, Elkhart Lake, and Blackhawk Farms were the three closest venues. We would take our car to autocrosses to shake it down, and to get some track time. Sometimes they would use a stock car track for the autocross. I know we went to Elko, and I think we went to Raceway, too. I never raced stock cars, but later on, my brother raced mini-stocks at Elko.

Although I was into road racing, I always thought circle track was more entertaining for spectators. Of course, dirt track was the best, and flat-track motorcycles best of all.

Shooting Padre, that's the picture I wanted to see. I love the way you set the right front camber on the model.

Nice job Shooting padre,
Wish they still looked that "original" in the
Nascar ranks. All a bunch of cookie cutter
replicas nowadays.
