You are spot on - 1982.

    Best Ammo

2.5" snubbie I have a model 19 2.5" as my primary carry weapon and sometimes a 4" in cooler weather. While you can adjust the sights for any ammo, these were designed for 158 grain. not only do they shoot to POA, when shooting magnums they are easier on the forcing cone than lighter bullets. I...

    Recent finds 19-3 and 19-4

Some nice Smiths have started to surface in my area lately and I've been fortunate enough to land a few. I'm really happy with this pair of 19's. The nickel is a -3 and the blue is a -4.

    686-4 3" better pictures

feet or yards? That would be feet, I wouldn't attempt to actually hit anything at 45 yds.

    686-4 3" better pictures

I'm liking this L frame a lot . I shot better at 45' with it than I did my 4" 19-3 with magnum loads.

    I just bought a 686-4 3"

686-4 3" I've cooled on selling mine quite a bit and have taken down all posts except this one. I'm going to shoot it some then I'll probably clean it up nicely and repost over here. I have promised a couple of guys from here that I would let them know before I sold it or put it up for...

    I just bought a 686-4 3"

You know I did. It was my first 4" fixed sight model and with 158 grain it's dead on POA at about 50'.

    I just bought a 686-4 3"

13-3 It is and not a mark on it except a slight turn ring that I put there.

    I just bought a 686-4 3"

Just as I thought, I've got a few "box and docs" K frames. I got the "case" out and someone has peeled the label off the end, imagine that. All of my Smiths are from the pre - lock days and most are discontinued models.

    I just bought a 686-4 3"

After all the great advice here I'm not going to rush into anything. When I first saw the gun for sale on a local forum all I knew was it was a 3" L frame which was enough really. I buy every 4" and under Smith that comes across that board unless they are over priced or someone beats me to it...

CS-1 I'm familiar with the Custom Service models and this isn't one.

I'm inclined to sell to Eric if I don't get a trade

    I just bought a 686-4 3"

19-4 + 19-6 I've got nice Kframes. I just don't care that much for the 686 and was asking if I should let it go for the $1000 offer or hold on to it.
