Yes, absolutely! I ran it through it's paces last Friday. I am very impressed w/ the overall accuracy of this pistol. I had no idea the 4566 would shoot on the level of the 4506.
I consider the 4506 to be superior to the P220 in every respect but, overall size. Some would also say the 4506's...
Well I don't have a pic per say, but I actually found a pic of the very pistol when performing a image search the previous owner posted before he sold it to my friend's shop, from whom I purchased it.
I can't quite seem to get the pic to work here, I'm a bit computarded...
I was recently shooting my 686+ Mtn Gun when the firing pin broke....I know I could send it to S&W to repair, but I was curious, How difficult is it to replace on one's own? does one need any special tools or is it a simple straight forward job?
Ahhhh! that's what the Spec.Ord code means....I thought it might be a "born-on date" but couldn't figure it....Thanks a lot for the Information!! I learn something every time I visit here!
I finally found a 4566. I've wanted one for a long time and stumbled into one. I couldn't be more pleased! The only .45s I've ever really yearned for were a 4566 and a stainless Commander-sized 1911A1.
I have a few questions about it. It came w/ the box. On the label, it has the...
The revolver was most likely issued to the Detention Division, the Patrol Division was issued autoloaders at the time. Even the CDOC carried (possibly still carries M686s) wheel guns at that time.
This is correct. NCDPS issues the M&P357 to the SHP and the DAC (Div. of Adult Corr.) is issued the M&P40.
Charlotte also issues the M&P40.
Raleigh issues the Mid-size M&P45.
WOW! With the big Patridge front sight and the stags......great looking 21! Just about perfect.
Now, if only S&W would make one w/ that front sight, in .357....sort of a new take on the .38-44 HD!
I've had a 386 NG since 2009 and have had no problems w/ light(or too short a FP) firing pin strikes like some others have.
The DA press is smooth and easily managed. The sights are perfect and the chubby 2.5"bbl doesn't hold back the revolver at all, this thing shoots like a full-size...
Yep on both of those! The "body guard" of Wilem Dafoe in "To LIve and Die in LA" carries a 4" M15 and uses it to good effect.
I have a very good revolver movie that no one has mentioned yet....Don Johnson's( A Gunsite graduate) "Dead Bang". It's about as good a wheelgun movie as it gets. He...
I have bought a couple of S&W's newer revolvers, a 686SSR and a 386NG and couldn't be happier. The 386NG is my off-duty carry. The fitting of the side plate and cylinder yoke is some of the finest, tightest I'ver seen, the workmanship is outstanding.
Also No, I haven't had any of the mythical...
