I apologize if this has been asked before...for use in a Model 60 for self defense, would you choose Federal 158 gr Nyclad HP +P or the Speer 135 gr JHP +P? I know the that point of aim might be better on the 158 gr but some say they expansion and penetration of the 135 gr might be better.

How much $$ are they getting for the 3" 63?

Yes, others have mentioned Ruger. The handguns I own are all S&W. I really would like to stay with Smith but it may not be possible. I haven't seen a used 63, 617,34 or any 22LR for sale around here for quite some time. I guess I will have to keep my eyes open and my wallet ready!

$869.00 list price for a new model 63 w/3" barrel. I know dealers discount the firearm but does anyone else think this is somewhat on the high end for a 22LR? Prices are really out of sight no matter if used or new!

I have a SS Model 60 which I managed to ding last night. The ding is on the barrel right next to the crown. Can anyone tell me if this is something I can repair myself or is this a Smith and Wesson fix? Thanks.
