So if I wanted a gold type color for the barrel, what is my best bet for durability? I go to the range and put about 2-300 rounds through it a week, so I'm sure it'll show signs of wear pretty quick.
As for visibility, yeah, it's really only for my own satisfaction, as I hope I never have to...

Extra mags are great for range practice. I have 12 mags (a lot?, probably), but I load them all at home, go to the range, fire off 100 rounds, go home, lather, rinse, repeat.
I've added a few upgrades to my M&P Shield 9mm 2.0. And while I admit I've probably gone a little overboard on practicality, they're all functional and work great. They include Apex trigger (enhanced duty), Trijicon sights, Lightning cut slide, numerous mag extensions (colored from Taran Tac...
I just got my Shield back from the gunsmith yesterday, and really happy with the outcome (Lightning cuts in the slide). Also added the Apex trigger and Trijicon sights, and all sorts of (colored) mag extension (Hyve, Taran, Tyrant). Hitting the range tonight with the new setup. ;-)
I've recently purchased an M&P Shield 9mm 2.0 (w/ Crimson Trace). I've already swapped out the trigger with the APEX Tactical (doesn't come in red yet though), purchased extra mags (8 in total... for the range), some mag extenders (Taran, Hyve, high cap springs, pinky extender thingy) and...
Thank Mike! I'm really wanting the red Apex trigger set for my M&P Shield 2.0, but they (Apex) doesn't make one as yet. So am having to default to the regular black trigger for now. That being said, and being that I'm opening it up to replace the trigger, I'm wanting to get a better feel...
So what is the difference between the flat-faced and curved triggers? Is it simply comfort, or is there some functionality added by the flat face?
Has anyone tried the flat-faced trigger and not liked it (and reverted back to the curved trigger)?
Thanks all.
