    3913 lefty help

Have her try adapt to the gun. I fly RC airplanes using a mode 2 transmitter made to right handers, I've bowled for years with right handed bowling shoes, and I've adapted to the S&W 22A with it's slide stop and safety positioned to right handers. She should be able to make it work.

    Slide racker Avaialbe for 22A?

The Handi-Racker will not work on the S&W 22A. It's a good idea though for other semi-autos with full length slides. S

Any tips or opinions on the 22a-1?

I came up with a homemade mag loader aid for my 22A. Seems to work fine and much easier on the fingers.

    Slide racker Avaialbe for 22A?

No real problem with loading the mags, though it is tough on the thumb. Also the mag pin is not reversible so it's abit harder for left handers. The slide is hard to grip with thumb and and index finger so that's why I made the slide racker. S

    Homemade slide racker for 22a

I removed most of my post text and the two photos because of snarkeye's negative comment. Curling for bicep strength has little to do with it. It's the lack of grip strength with finger and thumb from arthritic hands. The racker will also help people with 'meat claws'.

    stiff slide on a 22A

Thanks for your input guys. gdauth- Good idea. It works good and also using the thumb rather than the palm works. But as I 'play' with the gun, using different methods, the slide is getting easier to pull back. Thank you all. Sweeede

    stiff slide on a 22A

Thanks guys, It's cold at my firing range(an unheated machine shed) so it's a little easier to pullback when the gun is a room temperature. I have a pair of inexpensive rubber fingered cotton gloves that helps, but I still have to switch to my dominate hand for enough strength. Also here's a...

    stiff slide on a 22A

Hello everyone.....newbie to S&W and first time poster here. I just bought a 22A 7" pistol. It has not yet been loaded or fired. I found that the slide is difficult for me to grip and to slide rearward. I'm hoping it will loosen up and that my technique will improve as time goes on. I've...
