You don't have to take it out of service - just bed it (or have it done) to ensure the action is tight and not shifting around... no one should see it. The resin will strengthen the wood as well as help accuracy. Check behind the action tang at the stock wrist to see there isn't a hairline...

One thing I would note is those old Huskys have a tendency to split stocks at the back of the action if they get used regularly with larger calibers. It would be a good idea to consider bedding it and definitely make sure the action screws are tight.
