I just bought this thing and it has the worse trigger I have ever felt on a revolver, is there any way to improve it? do they make two models one for California and one for the rest of us? There is got to be a reason this trigger is so stout. I'm not new to S&W revolvers I have several but none...
Nice find, I have a M&P 45 in the 4in barrel and it is very easy to handle not much recoil its definitely softer shooting than my 40 compacts, I think anyway!
This one is not wrapped it is molded kryptek, I'll try to get a pic posted this week, the gun shoots great and the night sites are still bright so I think I did Ok. 9mm barrel and mags on the way

if the barrel is jammed under the slide it will probably have to go back to smith and wesson even if you get it unjammed so I would just send it back and let them fix it, it seems to have jumped off the track I wouldn't shoot it if I got it back together with out a smithy looking at it. JMO

I have used the search button no luck, I'm looking for a hammer style firing pin for the model 10 and 586 can't seem to find them any where do they still make them or are these two revolvers now useless
Mas is one of my favorite people in the world and I hate to disagree BUT..I think the Shield is the perfect ladies gun, my wife handles it well hits what she is aiming at and does it at fifteen yards and with her shield a malfunction is unlikely so 8 rounds is 3 up on the j frames I own both...
