"Compact" M&P barrel lenghts are 3.5". I did try the full lenght 9mm 4.25" in my .40c and it just did not work. I am quite sure a compact barrel will never work in a full size platform. If the barrel you received is actually the 4.25" mistakenly labeled as a "compact", then you should be good.

It makes your wonder why our government is so hellbent on becoming like other countries, when other countries see us as a model they wish to emulate. The voices of reasson are out there and everywhere. These are the kind of SANE arguments we should be putting forth. History, not just our own...

Isn't the recoil guide rod from the 908 plastic from the factory? That would be one of MY considerations about it. I have not used +p ammo on my 3913 yet, or ever for that matter. I might try a few rounds just to experience it, but not planning on making it a regular thing. Just my .02c.

Thanks, ugrey. After shooting my buddy's 6906, I was hooked. Even though his fit me well, the 3913 fits better in my smallish hand and even better in my wifes. We'll see how it goes at the range.
