I bought my 642 no IL from a guy on GB who had sold the last two he had. I checked today and now he has at least another one. His price has gone up though. They are around, and have been shipped from S&W this year. Good luck. Take it easy-n-at, Jeff

Within badguy shooting range there really wouldn't be any noticable difference. There is a formula out there that will tell you velocity difference for every inch of barrel. If I can find it I will post. In the mean time here is a 3" 60.

There are no lock 642's on the S&W website but I haven't seen any nl 637's either.
