I tried to find the answer in the advanced search but I came up with nothing probably to an easy question.

There are 2-1/8 barrel and 3 inch barrel. What would be or is the difference in the performance?

Thanks

I don't have a three inch to show

Within badguy shooting range there really wouldn't be any noticable difference. There is a formula out there that will tell you velocity difference for every inch of barrel. If I can find it I will post.

In the mean time here is a 3" 60.

Bullet velocity, slight edge to the 3 inch.
3 inch seems to look better with factory combat grips, and the sight plane is a bit longer, the 3 inch with target sights will aim better. The 3 inch without the lock is more desirable than with the lock.

The 2 inch conceals better, and is more "appropriate" with boot grips (looks silly to me with combats on).

Both hold five rounds . . . enough for a close up problem.

That 3 inch is an old Camfor offering, just got it Friday - NIB (unfired).

Some feel the 3" ejects empties better than the shorter versions.
