Make your own Delrin (aka Big Dog) grips for your CS9/40/45

So anyone try modifying a set of PC-9 shorty grips? At first glance it would seem to be a good candidate.

    CS-9 Sights

Finally got around to do some diamond file work on the M&P nite-sight I had laying around. Came out pretty good, proof will be in the shooting as I suspect it may shoot a touch low as the sight post is a bit taller than the stock one. But reality is that it wouldn't matter much in an up close...

Shorty 9 production numbers confirmed! PHOTOS ADDED post #10

Now this thread makes me wonder if those grips would fit on a CS9?

    CS-9 Sights

Oh the issue isn't with the bottom of the dove tail base pad, but the actual sight rib where the night sight vial sits in as it extends beyond the base pad. The hump of the slide wont allow it to go on without being thinned out by trimming up from the bottom. After looking at it further it...

    CS-9 Sights

I have an extra M&P full size front night sight, so I decided to give it a whack on my CS9. Old off, new one started on ok but then I noticed the issue. The front to back length of the m&p sight hangs over the dove tail base pad, unlike the stock cs9 sight. Due to radius of the slide it won't...

S&W CS9? Found One!!! Pic added.

I recently traded my way into one of these and it is like new. The only wish Bad Dog was still making grips. Or someone else could pave the way with a DIY post.

Why did S&W stop making this model?

If they don't sell by the truck load they go by the wayside.

To combat cut or not to combat cut...that is the question.

A lot of leather edges are burnished with a wooden dowel that has a soft channel cut in it, chucked in a fixed drill.

    IWB during deep summer

For me as long as the holster has a sweat shield, I have no problem with it without an undergarment. I use leather holsters though, Kydex may not be so nice.

    Apex Competition striker spring

Thanks jajo, with more searching on the net I found the answer. "If you think 2.5-3.0lbs is too light, I would recommend trying the HArd Sear and USB alone. They will normally yield a 4.25lb trigger pull. If you mix and match factory springs with our Competition Springs you'll get something in...

    Apex Competition striker spring

Terry I appreciate your response and experience. But I am really after any issues with using the stock factory striker spring in lieu of the Apex Comp spring.

    Apex Competition striker spring

In a trade I received a brand new MP full size with the CAEK kit and ram installed, plus all the factory parts bagged. The trigger is nice to the point of almost too light. Question, no issue using/swapping in the factory striker spring in place of the competition spring? I did swap it, and...

    Carrying in a ballpark

Large public sporting events have always been off limits where I reside. Must be something to do with the combination of true love for ones favorite team, beer and haggling opponents.

Poll: How do you carry in the woods?

Prefer OWB but during archery season, IWB is required and allowed in FL.
