This thread really hits upon the biggest problem with S&W pistols in general is the triggers. I am not anti S&W, I have had a M&P 9C, a M&P 9Pro, but sold them due to their triggers and the cost to upgrade them.
I currently own 2 Shields, mine and my Wife's carry choice. I would have to say...
I have a M&P 9Pro. With out any doubt it is the best handgun I have ever owned. Well over 2000 rounds with no problems. I have seen no need to do any trigger work as it was great from the factory. It is used for IDPA and target shooting. I did have a M&P 9C but found it was a little large for...
Have Gun,Where are all the mags?
Got one from Buds for $599 delivered free.
My problem is I can't find any mags. Bought this for IDPA and probably won't even get to use it July 14th for lack of enough mags.
Try some Titegroup
Try some Titegroup and you won't go back to unique. Unique is much too dirty for me in a autoloader. Don't get me wrong, it is a great powder for some applications.
I load 148 Gr. Berrys wadcutters for my wifes 637 with unique and they work great.
I have been using my M&P9C for IDPA and decided it is something I really like and want to move up to a larger gun.
For those that have one or have had one, what is your opinion good or bad of the 9 Pro? Is it worth the extra money over a full size M&P9 17 rd ?
I love my 9C, but think I...
Don't know what is considered a "ladies" paddle holster, but I use a Galco paddle holster for my 9C. Gun fits very well and is comfortable to wear. Gun rides high.
I use a Galco pancake style Belt holster, rides high and is comfortable to wear even with the weight of the 686.
I have a Galco paddle for my M&P9C, it is comfortable, but moves around too much for my liking. Probably will end up getting a belt holster for it too.
I want to replace the sights on my M&P9C to either fiber optic or night sights. I use the pistol for carry and IDPA, so i want something bright in the daytime.
I was thinking of the Meprolight system.
Would appreciate some feedback from members of what they are using
on their pistols and what...
Seating Depth
IMO you are seating too deep. I have shot hundreds of Berry's HBWC seated to 1.180 COL with a mild crimp useing a Lee factory crimp die.
That puts the crimp just where the bullet edge starts to round off.
Your seating depth could explain why you are shaving the bullet.
JMO, but...
I get good accuracy useing Berry's 148 Gr HBWC with Unique.
Light recoil, wife shoots them for target practice.
Hornady lists wadcutter loads useing Unique.
Berry's copper plated bullets are loaded the same as lead.
