Looking for a paddle type, if possible. Not junk. Want something nice for such a nice gun.

I have had one from DM Bullard and I also have one from Simply Rugged. They are both different, but I like both. I currently carry in the Simply Rugged -- the additional leather seems to conceal better.

Ray at Lobo promised my custom pancake (not a paddle holster, I know) in five weeks and delivered it in three and a half weeks (including shipping time). By contrast, I ordered a custom holster from another manufacturer in mid-March. It was promised in "about a month", and I'm still waiting (two months and counting). The fastest turn-around I have experienced so far was a non-custom Don Hume, which I received in a little over a week. The Don Hume is a decent holster...nothing to write home about, but it does the job.

I have an old Bianchi paddle holster made for a 2.5" 66 that I had modified to fit my 686 2.5". Bought it for $15 at a gun show and had my uncle modify the thumb strap and open up the muzzle end of the holster to fit the larger frame. Its not perfect but I dont usually use a paddle holster very often.

I use a Galco pancake style Belt holster, rides high and is comfortable to wear even with the weight of the 686.

I have a Galco paddle for my M&P9C, it is comfortable, but moves around too much for my liking. Probably will end up getting a belt holster for it too.

Is the Galco holster made for a 2.5"? I see lots of ones for a 4".

Here's a picture of a pancake for a Mod 19 by LOBO. It will give you an indication of what one would look like. Ray does good work. I now have 3 of his.

I just received a Milt Sparks PMK for a 640 and I was very pleased as to how close to the body it actually fit. I was very concerned that it would stick out too far based on its design. Clearly, the 2.5" stubby L-frame will be a challenge on the PKM but ya never know. I'll roll the dice and order one just the same.

The Lobo 'Enhanced Pancake' looks promising although it's always a gamble until it actually arrives. Still, the cost seems very reasonable and his time-line isn't anywhere near as long as Milt Sparks.
