The factory letter on my .38 Single Action Second Model says they were located on Market Street in NYC in November of 1879. No street number listed.

Here's mine. Model of 1905, 4th change. S/N 112XXX. It's a family heirloom to me. Has a lot of holster wear, but still shoots great!

Here is my old S&W.38 SA, 2nd Model. S/N 46XXX. Nickel finish is bad, but it's a family heirloom.

Anyone know if there has ever been a speedloader manufactured for these old guns? I doubt it and I haven't ever run across one, but still curious. Would be fun to use one with my Model of 1905, fourth change! Speed strips would be ok but definitely not the same. Thanks.

I found some HSM today online at sportsmansguide for a decent price. Figured I'd give it a try. I might try to get into reloading someday if I start shooting enough to justify it. Thanks for the comments everyone!

I don't shoot enough for me to justify reloading. I do like to shoot my model of 1905 fourth change every now and then though. Local shops don't have it so I'll find some online. Thanks for input!

Is the HSM ammo black powder?

Where do you guys get your .32-20 ammo from? Seems hard to find. I have about half a box left from a box I bought 10+ years ago but I'd like to have more on hand. Thanks.

safety/de-cocker I posted another pic of the rear sight top view with the safety off. But, I'm moving on from the sight question for now. Best I can tell with my eyes it's lined up from the hammer through the pin to the front sight when I aim it. I also posted pics of the safety/de-cocker...
