Lived in Colorado all my life(77 yrs), hunted and backpacked for about 50 of those years. Carried mostly a j frame and now it's loaded with Underwood extreme penetrators, feel perfectly safe. just my opinion.

Years ago I won a lot of meat and money trapshooting and used Unique, then used it in .45, .38 and now 9mm. Can throw 10 grains in a 30-06 or 30-30 and shoot small game. Don' care if it's dirty, love it.

I used the factory barrel, around $70 and it works perfectly.

Just back from the range a happy camper, bought the 9mm barrel and mag from Midway. Shot 100 rds of WW white box, accurate as heck and 100% functioning. This is the full size M & P, love this handgun. .40 barrel and mag back in an in the nightstand.

I use 4.2 of 231 and Berry's plated bullets. nice smooth load.

Have lots of handguns but I often carry the Heritage 4" birdshead and I have shot Velocitors in it with no problem so far. But you guys have me wondering so next time out to the range I'm going to give them and Mini Mags a test, thanks for the ideas. P.S. this little cheap gun is amazing...

Getting some serious numbness in my hands and I have trouble racking the slide on the Shield, can do the big MP40. Is changing springs in the shield going to help or should I just trade it off? It is super accurate and I like it.

got mine on for the Shield and they are great, super service too.

Just the opposite here, wife cannot rack the slide on semi autos but shoots lights out with her LCR, a thousand rounds at least and going strong. From 10 yds her groups make a lot of guys at the range move away from her, she can shoot some small groups. She weighs 103 pounds and is 5' tall, she...

Mine is the 9mm and it is great. Talk about service, I orderd Talon's 2 days ago and they are on the gun, perfect fit and feels really good. So far this shield purchase is about perfect.

Been a Ruger guy for years but this Shield is something else, love it. 100rds of Win white box, no malfunctions of any kind. Recoil nil, accurate at 15yds offhand. Dumped all the brass just to the right not in my hat or shirt so like that. It's a keeper, have the M & P40 too, it's a keeper too.

I shoot a lotof .45 handloads in my Ruger Blackhawk convertible(.45acp & .45 colt). I shoot 250 gr Keith style at 900fps and with that I am good to go for anything in the lower 48. Never liked the .44 but that's just me.

Just a thought, I took the one I got for the model 10 and put it on my Ruger Speed Six, fit like a glove, maybe because the speed six is a round butt style, just a thought.

Just a note about my ordering a T grip from Tyler Mfg. It arrived in about a week and fit the model 10 perfect. Have read some negatives but this customer is impressed, love the feel and the look.
