If it has a rib on the slide it may be a Mk II. I have 5 HiPowers and the only one with a rib on the slide is the Mk II, the slide may also have a small drain hole below the barrel up front.
I wondered where they got the magical number "7" from. Could it be because Kimber is made in Yonkers, NY. Nothing wrong with a 1911, but multiple assailants sometimes demand more rounds. One reload may not be enough.
