    yes dewalt, thanks for the info, i have 6 model 8's, my grandfathers 30, my wifes grandfathers as i mentioned, and have one 25, one 32, one 35, and 3 30's, also have ammo for all of them, got my 25 from old western scrounger. shot my first deer with grandpas 30.

    I have the k frame illustrated list, and the parts in this list do not reflect the parts in this gun, such as the trigger retun spring is a leaf type not a coil.the extractor rod and center pin are both broken.     The serial number is on the butt of the grip, barrel marking is s&w 38 special & u.s. service cartridge. the date and other info i have recieved from Ray, the s&w historian. he says this is a 1902 first change revolver. It does have a 6 shot cylinder, and the internal parts look like I frame...

    I have a 38 cal I frame hand ejector, it was my wifes grandfathers he carried as a Texas ranger in 1922. sr # 45560. does anyone know if the extractor rod and center pin for the 32 cal is the same as the 38?
