    .22 WRF

CCI is still producing 45 grain hollow nose 22 WRF. There expensive. Seem to recall more then $10.00 per 50. I have an old Winchester Model 61 with Hexagon barrel that likes these.

Night Sights For S&W 500 Magnum

I personally use a Trijion RMR sight mounted on Picatinny rail mount on my 460V. Target view is rather narrow, but it eliminate the need for any lights.

    S&W 460 Shell Holders

I have been using #4 RCBS shell holders with my 460 RCBS loading dies. Have not had any problems.

    need help with 460 brass

You may also want to check the cartridge for length. If they are too long, scrape the insides to see if ring has developed inside the cartridge. This would give a good indication that the 460 round is about to separate.

    Let's talk about AA #9

I also happen to like AA#9, but have had to stop using it in 454 with WSR primers. Recently tried CCI Mag small rifle primers, which have been tough to obtain until this year, and this solved the powder ignition problems. I had the same problems with 1680 and WSR primers, so if you shoot 454 use...

    S&W 460 Practice Ammo

The 460 S&W is pretty expensive to reload. You may want to get a copy Lyman 50th edition. It has two loads for cast 255 & 300 lead cast gas check bullets. Now as for the price of lead and checks with powder....!

    Daylight savings time.

You should live in Anchorage. Here we have put up with double daylight savings time, when Alaska agreed to go on Juneau time. In Nome its triple daylight savings time. Makes for dark start in the mornings.

    LED Fluorescent Lights

What I like best about the replacement 4' LED tubes, is no flicker. They brightened up my garage.

    Snow throwers/blowers?

It took me 18 years to wear out a Honda snow blower. It broke shaft on the front differential for the second time. So purchase new machine, rather then replacing it. The new one came with center support on the differential, so suspect it was design issue. As for engine, wish I had new use for it.

Smith 460 mag red dot or fixed magnification?

Installed Trijon on my 460V 5" on top Weig Tinny SS base. It did not take that may shots the base shook loose. Applied Permatex Blue to threads and resolved the problem. As for hunting, prefer 338. Ear protection is a must with 460V.

460 XVR Bone Collector- Big Problem

Well, have had the same experience with my 5" 460V. It came with two muzzle brakes, one for specifically for lead. Both have drawn blood. 454 rounds seem to be culprit. Have picked pieces of the copper crimp out of my cheek. For now am restricting that hand cannon to 460 S&W rounds and heavier...

Do you carry a gun while fishing?

I call my 460 my fishing companion. Its always with me when fishing in Alaska.

    460xvr scope alternatives?

Installed a Trijicon RMR on my 460 S&W XVR 5". First impression it took longer to get on target, but this one works even in low or no light. Negatives, should of used some Permatex on the Weig SS rail mount. It took me allot rounds to get it sighted in, and then have the rail come loose...

    460 Magnum Sight Options

Ruggyh That is definitely not a Teddy bear! Personally I carry a 460 5" with Trijon sights as my Alaskan fishing companion. Manage to score some 300 MP powder and load up 50 rounds of 300 XTP mag this morning. Life can get very interesting when you come on one these critters protecting a moose...

Can we talk about old guy eyes and sights and such???

Been suffering from the same problem, unable to get good focus on that front iron sight. Changed the sights to Trijion RMR green triangle on 460S&W 5". Had some problems initially keeping it clued to its mount. Applied some Permatex Blue to the Weigand rail screws and finally manage to nail 4...
