Thanks for the info gentlemen. I would have preferred to hear that they were SB, but still won't write it off. The gun in question is unfluted - but ported. Looks like Maganport's work. I can probably get it for around $600ish. Kindest Regards - Tom

Hi All - Can someone tell me if the Trailboss is a round butt or square butt? I saw one in a local shop but couldn't tell due to the huge, wrap around rubber grips covering the backstrap. Might as well ask what you all think a fair price would be also - probably 95% condition. Thanks, Tom

I just stumbled across this thread. I recently purchased the same Lew Horton M29 (except blued) but have yet to shoot it. Is this problem readily visible to the naked (and middle aged) eye without a bore scope or do I need to shoot it first to see where the leading and fouling builds up? Thanks, Tom

A local shop just took in a 686 no dash in perfect mechanical condition but with quit a bit of holster/handling wear, light scuffs and scratches. No box or papers. Could I please get an estimated price range? Thanks, Tom

I don't know the answer to your question, but when I look at the M29 3" on the S&W website it says something like Lew Horton exclusive. I was researching this gun because I came across this same M29 in a local shop and took it home for $600 "out the door". I can't figure out if it was mis-priced...

Is this the 29-10 Lew Horton that's currently shown on S&W's website? Tom
