I have a couple of questions about Lew Horton guns.
1. Is there any difference between the M29 3" listed on their website (http://www.lewhorton.com/m242529.html) and the regular one listed on the S&W site?
2. The LH M27 Registered Magnum has "high bright blue finish" http://www.lewhorton.com/regmag.html , while the Classics S&W M29 is stated by S&W to be "bright blue" or just "blue". Cna anyone please describe the difference?
3. Is the Registered Magnum a PC gun, and how is the quality?
4. Any chance that Lew Horton or other large distributors could order a special run of no-lock S&Ws? I would send my check tomorrow if they did!

I don't know the answer to your question, but when I look at the M29 3" on the S&W website it says something like Lew Horton exclusive. I was researching this gun because I came across this same M29 in a local shop and took it home for $600 "out the door". I can't figure out if it was mis-priced or if they're not selling and are going out to smaller dealers. Tom

I have one of the Registered Magnum and the finish is nice, but not like the old oven finish. For a tank job it is nice, and well made. The guns on the site are a special run for lew, so they will be under a special run number. Most of the time they buy 250 of eash in a run. Here is a PIC of my Registered Magnum:

That sounds right, because is listed under revolvers and not classics and it is not priced.

Bullseye-Smith: That is a nice revolver !!

Bullseye,
Did your gun come with the grips intended for the 3.5 inch version or did you put them on?
My 5 inchers has the larger grips.

I ordered it thay way, we sale alot of lew. So you get your little perts once in a while. I have showed that PIC a dozen times and you are the only one to catch it. One of these days I'm going to get a grip adapater for it.
