Used a Winchester Shotgun to cut down a tree branch

Many years ago when our son was young we would go out in woods and fields and get a Cedar tree for Christmas. Instead of an axe we would take a shotgun and he would shoot the tree tree down. More fun than chopping with an axe. #4 shot works better than #8.

    Ruger SR22-Great DA/SA 22lr Pistol

I have one and my great grandson and I enjoy shooting it and consider it money well spent. We have shot it thousands of times and think it's a great gun for shooting tin cans and dirt clods.

It's not that old Boars are tough. The meat stinks and taste worse than it smells. Larry

Rant time. It's a small thing but it bugs me.

You brought back a memory. In the mid 60s I bought a like new S&W 1917 for $25. I don't remember what my selling price was but if I had it now it would that a big stack of $25. to catch it. Selling it was just one of the many young and dumb things I did. Larry

    Mossberg O/U Shotguns

I also shoot Berettas. For my son I cut the stock and saved the piece and when he grew I used accuglass and put the piece back on. He complained and didn't like the way it looked. When I told him him he could buy a new stock he decided it looked ok. For my grandson I bought another stock...

    Mossberg O/U Shotguns

I have found that good things ain't cheap and cheap things ain't good. My experience is if shooting several rounds of skeet a week the cheapest guns are Beretta or Browning O/Us. Either one will will shoot thousands of shells with no problems. A good example of a cheap gun lasting...
