    Is This Sight Fixable?

GL9CK, I agree with you , the only way to learn is to try and fail sometimes, this makes us all better people. At least it was only the sight and not the gun itself. Good luck, hope the filing will work.

    Model 67 Question

Just picked up a nice 67 no dash. It had O.H.B stamped on left side. The shop tried to say that stamp means it was a former California Hwy Patrol model gun.. Anyone know what it means? Thanks JD

    Poll for S&W . 357 magnums

Ok fellas, My father and I had a discussion/disagreement as to which S&W .357 was the best overall. Our top 3 were the Model 66, 27-2, and 586. I am a big fan of the 66 in 3 inch, but to be fair, we will just say overall best .357mag (no matter barrel length) between these 3 models.. They are...

Fellas, Thanks for the replies. I am not looking to remove it ( I like it, makes it pop, looks good). I was hoping to find out if it was done aftermarket or did it come from factory this way? My bad, sorry I should have stated this in my original post. However, good to know how to...

    Question on M36 no dash

I picked up a model 36 with no dash. Serial # dates it 1963. It is a nickel gun, however it has brass trigger, hammer and cylinder release. I know S&W made a few of these in a special run. Anyone ever seen these, is it factory, if not factory does it hurt or help the price? Thanks

    Gold Lettering on 27-2

All, I have a 27-2, very nice condition, little use if any at all. I don't have the box. My question is, I noticed all the factory engraving is in gold. Has anyone ever seen this? I know from the S&W catalog the gun was produced in 77-78 with serial # starting with a N. Any help would...

    S&W 65-3 Question

I just picked up a 65-3 with a 3inch barrell. I tried to look up the date in the S&W 4th edition, however, I have a few questions. I am assuming it is a 1983 or 1984. However I would like to know what the other markings mean. Under the 65-3 , inside the cylinder on the frame is A26 then a S...
