s&w conumer service as far as the gun being 18 years old, the warranty is to go back to 1989, dry fired yes, but not a lot. I guess I'm surprised that they wouldn't cover it. The gun is exceptional shape in every other way.

I sent a model 60-7 back to S&W for a hammer stud that failed. The gun was made in 1990 and was purchased by my wife. Costumer service says I have to pay for repair, pointing out that it was wear and tear. The gun has had at the most 400 hundred rounds through it and treated like the safe queen...

Shoots just fine. I been on the market for a 17 or 18 for some time. I'm happy with it, I just found it odd for it to be such a tight fit. They eject without a problem though. Love those k frames.

Why does the chambers of my cylinder seem to be undersized? I bought a model 18-4 recently and the rounds go in the cylinder very tight. All are snug, but particularly a couple of them. I thought there might be some build up of crud or lead in them, but I've cleaned them very well, took a bore...

Definetly a bulge, the cartridge slides into the cylinder until the bulge then you need to push it in with your finger. Sometimes its also a little hard to rotate the cylinder, but it will function
