    Mod # 37

I too have a model 37 that I bought for my wife awhile back, it is a great shooter and she loves it. I think one reason it does not show up more on here more is because it is just a good honest working gun that a lot of people have and carry but rarely shoot. Once you start shooting it you again...

    Best Year Model 36

The model 60 is a stainless version of the model 36. The model 37 is an aluminum frame version of the model 36. The model 60 would be more practical from a maintenance aspect of it being stainless steel but it is no Airweight.

    Best Year Model 36

I have a model 36 & 37. I like the carrying qualities of the model 37 but I like the way the 36 shoots better. Both revolvers will disappear in the front pocket but the 37 does not pull the pocket down as bad. Both revolvers were made in the mid 60’s and both are surprisingly accurate especially...

    4506 Grip Options

Thanks for the information guy’s; I do like the looks of the factory straight back grip the best. Now all I have to do is locate a good set… Thanks, Vim

thank goodness for smith and wesson

I love my S&W's as much as the next guy but I've had a Ruger MKII for 22 years now and can not fault the gun for anything but the way you take it down to clean it. I have found it very accurate and reliable and it has taken countless snakes, rabbits and squirrels not to mention tin cans and targets.

What would you do with this Model 19?

I would look for an older police trade in and modify it. Your gun is just too nice to butcher...

    4506 Grip Options

I’ve had my 4506 for over 20 years and about the only complaint I have is the hump back grip. When I bought the gun the flat back grip was not available then and I guess I continued to tell myself the grip was not that bad. Well as one gets older I guess our tolerance to things that are...

    Model 36 & 37 DOB

A couple of other question that I had intended to put in my previous post but failed too... Is the Model 37 more desirable than the 36 and is it safe to use either one of them +P ammo? I would assume that a very limited diet just for HD would be ok??? Thanks, VIM

    Powder choice for 30-06

I like Winchester 748 & 760 depending on bullet weight. Very clean burning and accurate in my rifles. It is the same powders used by Winchester in their factory loads.

    Couldn't resist......

That is a beautiful Model 19-2. Congratulations on your find especially unfired in the box. I guess the next question is, will it remain unfired? VIM

    4506

I purchased my 4506 when they first come out and I have had no problems with it at all. It is the most reliable automatic I have ever shot. It is large but shoots great... VIM

    smith 645/745

My brother in law has a 745 that I have shot a lot throught the years and it is a really nice accurate gun. I have a 4506 that will feed most anything thrown it's way with no problems but I always did like the looks of the 645 better than the 4506. I kick myself for not buying a 745 and a 645...
