I would have to say it's a special edition. I have the exact same piece, porting and all. Paid too damn much for it as well. Man this thing is a beast to shoot.

    Jacked myself AGAIN

Thanks for all the input, I don't feel quite so bad. The bluing on the frame is actually very nice. I think I'll redo the cylinder then take it out and shoot the heck out of both it and the 1937. S&W's once in my safe, never leave. It has a good home with plenty of brothers and sisters.

    Jacked myself AGAIN

Got all exited over a british contract triple lock in 45 AR, didn't do my research before i grabbed it. Saw it at the pawnshop I always get my stuff at, nice and shiny for $700. After blowing it apart and looking it over, I find it has been reblued for some pretty serious corrosion, not a very...

    Next and last one.

Mostly concerned with the 3 inch barrel and un-fluted cylinder. Blue Book of Gun Values states they could only be gotten on a special model like a Lew Horton or some such. Just seeing if there is someone out there that can give me an idea, be for I request a letter. Paid to damm much for this...

What did you shoot in the last couple of days?

last 5 days Being unemployed, I have the opportunity to shoot my butt off. In the last 5 days I have been crushing some 22lr and shooting guns I bought broken (for next to nothing) and repaired. Stole this new at a gunshow. LOVE this thing. Has since had bigger grips to fit my paws. Put...

    Help identify

I know this a 5 screw pinned not recessed, 6 inch barrel, the number on the frame inside the crane matches the number on the crane, adjustable rear sight (post war type) and it has been nickel plated. I got it for $200 and would like to know if it's worth the $100 to get the letter? Any ideas...

    So......Who loves BIG BORE Snubbies?

My newest friend This is my newest S&W. A 29 that I'm still trying to identify. Paid too much, looks like carp, very tight and EXTRA smooth action. Don't care what it looks like, don't care that I overpaid. I wanted it, I love it, I, shoot it, don't have to treat it like a fragile baby and I...

    Wet Tumbling Brass

I LIKE REALLY SHINY BRASS. It makes me all happy inside. That being said, I use my 30 year old Lyman media tumbler for final before stuffing. I have and still use all three methods. 1. Dry media 2. Wet tumbling 3. Sonic cleaner I make the decision by the condition of the brass. My Lee...

    New 1917 Army

I have a 1937 Brazilian that someone blasted and cherkoted. Not real happy with that but it's still an excellent shooter. It's, my nightstand gun. Love the moon clips, faster reloads than a speedloader for me. Nice catch, I would have snatched it up in a heartbeat.

    What Do You Carry?

What does it matter What does it matter about caliber or model as long as you carry. My preference depends on whether I need 6 or 13. Movies , malls and such, Berretta Cheetah, (380) Hornady critical defense. Others, Rossi 461 (357) or S&W model 10 (44 spl)
