i Think it's a Model 29-4 Product code 101251. 2532 made in
1989. Not sure about the porting.

Mostly concerned with the 3 inch barrel and un-fluted cylinder. Blue Book of Gun Values states they could only be gotten on a special model like a Lew Horton or some such. Just seeing if there is someone out there that can give me an idea, be for I request a letter. Paid to damm much for this thing to begin with.

The standard catalog of S&W 4th edition on page 236,
left column, bottom entry lists the gun as shown but no
mention of the porting. Maybe the folks who know stuff
will elaborate on this.

I would have to say it's a special edition. I have the exact same piece, porting and all. Paid too damn much for it as well. Man this thing is a beast to shoot.

Lew Horton, MagNaPorting done by Smith with license from MagNaPort. Had one and it balanced suprisingly well, porting helped tame the hot ones.
