+1 on the 640, especially with Barami Hip grips.

Got the same gun Dave (unfortunately without the pretty stocks) and love it. It currently has Laser Grip stocks that work pretty well for sighting at self defense distances. Mine also shoots every time.

Shoot low pressure rds. for plinkin' and target shootin'. Plus Ps for carry. Don't sell or trade a family gun. Without question, you will regret it at a later date. Just my $.02 worth.
