    Larger Caliber CCW

Nothing has changed in my small world. It's either a single stack 9mm Glock, or a S&W J-Frame, and honestly, it's been more J lately. I am planning some multi week long distance RV trips next year, and seriously considering all revolver/pump shotgun. 686's, 442/642, Rem 870...Unless I get my...

    Aguila 9mm ammo

I have 15 year old Aguila 9mm that still goes bang every time. Speer Lawman and PMC going for roughly the same price. Still to high for 9mm but it is what it is.

    Gander Mountain .22LR

Went to Gander Mountain on Saturday to see if they had any Federal Automatch .22LR left (On sale at $17.99 for box of 325). At 4:00 PM, they were out, but I managed 5 boxes of Remington Thunderbolt ($2.29 a box of 50). Several clerks stated they would put out more Federal in the morning...

Why the SD is better value than a glock

Glock has a long and enviable track record in regards to reliability. I have carried a Glock duty weapon in differing models (21, 22, 23, 26)and calibers for 15 years and have thousands of rounds downrange with them. I have NEVER...That's NEVER, had a malfunction atrributable to the firearm...

    Cost of the 15-22moa

Buds Police Supply has them for $368 delivered. A little more than that on the civilian side.

    Single Point Sling Mount

I didn't know that. If the diameter is the same (apparently it is), then I will go with the "slide over"/allen wrench type suggested by Bluelizard Thanks

    "Slide Fire" on the 15-22?

I don't understand the fascination with "bump fire" or "slide stock" rapid fire systems. You have to hold the weapon in your shoulder (or waist) "just right" and have the trigger pull "just right". Those positions are generally not considered proper form to deliver accurate rounds on target...

    Single Point Sling Mount

I just ordered a 15-22 from Buds Police Supply ($368). I carry Bushmaster patrol carbine on duty and was looking for an inexpensive way to get in some additional training. In order to keep the 15-22 as close to the Bushmaster in "feel" and operation, I want to attach a single point sling...

    Concealed carry at church?

I go to a small church with about 35 regulars. Most know what I do for work, and some know that I always carry. I always sit in the back, against a wall, with a clear view of the side entrance door. I've had a few people ask me why I always sit there. I answer "it gives me an unobstructed...

    Model 10 original grip?

I recently aquired a 1979 (Thanks fyimo) police trade-in Model 10...Apparently from Australia. A little rough looking but very tight and smooth. It's a shooter, and my wife's bedside companion. I replaced the wooden grips with Pachmayr Pro Grippers. The grips I removed do not have the S&W...

    You speak American?

That is so cool! I need to figure out how to subscribe to the thread. Real history you can hold in your hand!

    Late Intro

I jumped into the forum a couple weeks back without introducing myself, but was received well, and had my question answered promptly. I am a 14 year LEO and have exclusively carried Glocks throughout. My first gun purchase way back in the 80's was a 2.5" Model 686 (I think)...Wish I still had...

    Police Model 10-8

Yes. It's the first used revolver I have ever purchased. For $269 I figured I'd take a chance. It is as advertised...70%-80% with good lock-up. The barrel and cylinder are exceptionally clean. Is your serial number close? Any idea where these guns came from?

    Police Model 10-8

Thanks guys, I'll get her cleaned up as much as possible. I didn't mention that a couple areas (leading edges of barrel, cylinder, trigger guard, etc.) have the bluing completely rubbed off. I also noticed that the right side of the frame has more scratches then the left, which is almost like...

    Police Model 10-8

Fantastic! Thanks for the info. Any suggestions on maintenance? I'd rather not have it re-finished, as it has "character" with the scratches and worn bluing. With the exception of a couple rifles, all my other guns are stainless or Glocks, so a worn blue finish is new to me.
